When I was a little pup there was a period in me life when I didn’t get treated so good. As I got a little older, I found meself on board a boat. It was very big boat and it was a scary place to be for such a little dog as me an da man that lived there didn't care about me. Then one day, some people showed me how it was to be loved and how I could be free to be me. This was the day I met me dad – aka The Dogfather – and the mum aka mumpty! <a href="https://www.blogger.com/u/1/blogger.g?blogID=2556040605981107233#editor/target=post;postID=8335359698684057746;onPublishedMenu=allposts;onClosedMenu=allposts;postNum=43;src=postname" target="_blank">You can read the whole fing ere.</a></div>

Bin a while ain't it? I forgot where I was. Oh yeah we was gonna find annuva moorin for Atlantis an move her an they was gonna finally get to work again after a lonnnnnnnnnng time of not being able to get on board her (legal fings).<br />
<br />
Well, true to her word, mum found a moorin. T'was in a place where they had looked years ago funny enough. Lowestoft! So the mooring was found, the deal was done. All they needed to do now was get Atlantis seaworthy enough for them to get her up there.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zr2IlsoB3wo/WyP9L03wkLI/AAAAAAAAESk/nqTrsx0R6qMut7ciPsNXjZDawxqc4La2ACLcBGAs/s1600/12963543_10154763967219942_6983959394373559279_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="528" data-original-width="960" height="176" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zr2IlsoB3wo/WyP9L03wkLI/AAAAAAAAESk/nqTrsx0R6qMut7ciPsNXjZDawxqc4La2ACLcBGAs/s320/12963543_10154763967219942_6983959394373559279_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now, why dus these fings always ave to appen in Winter? Poor old mum and dad spent 5 months from November to March getting Atlantis ready for her trip. I was supervisin the whole time of course, keepin em on their toes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wMuPzvtLoHs/WyP9WU7r-cI/AAAAAAAAESo/Fx8DPUuZBX8WG4swNHtLzyplNUNtENkjgCLcBGAs/s1600/13138918_10154821603034942_420966833170506411_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="528" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wMuPzvtLoHs/WyP9WU7r-cI/AAAAAAAAESo/Fx8DPUuZBX8WG4swNHtLzyplNUNtENkjgCLcBGAs/s320/13138918_10154821603034942_420966833170506411_n.jpg" width="176" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
First fing dad ad to do was find out what was urgent to fix and what we could live wiv for the trip wifout danger to life! Atlantis had been laid up so long , there was a lot to do! So, his list looked a bit like dis:<br />
<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Fix the raw water pump without which we couldn't run the engine</li>
<li>Weld the wheelhouse so we could put in the navigation lights</li>
<li>Weld the Portuguese bridge for added safety whilst at sea</li>
<li>Install new batteries for the 24-volt navigation system</li>
<li>Clean and prepare the fuel tanks</li>
<li>Fix the anchor windlass (that's a winch to you landlubbers)</li>
<li>Repair the crane</li>
<li>Get new ropes</li>
<li>Fabricate new bollards</li>
<li>Get rid of all the rubbish (mum's job!)</li>
</ul>
<br />
Water pump - the raw water pump was rotten so dad had to machine a new shaft, new seals and gaskets.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FKSa9HUwsU4/WyP5rFQ0afI/AAAAAAAAER8/gEuo5tNH4REk3vRmWz6nZ0vwOLmUMkMlACLcBGAs/s1600/13083232_10154821603094942_5865400762278468105_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="540" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FKSa9HUwsU4/WyP5rFQ0afI/AAAAAAAAER8/gEuo5tNH4REk3vRmWz6nZ0vwOLmUMkMlACLcBGAs/s320/13083232_10154821603094942_5865400762278468105_n.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
Making sure we could anchor safely out at sea was impawtant as we couldn't make the trip in one go. The anchor's hadn't been lowered for quite a few years so we had to test em. Dad had to get sledgy out again.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lIbTYHcyeoo/WyP6jWs5AFI/AAAAAAAAESQ/u9LyOIXzIgc_KBx1icTXoAOgWfGpob3QACLcBGAs/s1600/943751_10154800090069942_2514479301197624662_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="528" data-original-width="960" height="176" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lIbTYHcyeoo/WyP6jWs5AFI/AAAAAAAAESQ/u9LyOIXzIgc_KBx1icTXoAOgWfGpob3QACLcBGAs/s320/943751_10154800090069942_2514479301197624662_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
You might remember we did also get Bandit wot is our rib that is our tender and our life raft if we needed it, wot we didn't I am glad to report. We took her out for tests on the Blackwater during November.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Ello! Is me again, Lexie. Where was I? Oh yeah, sellin Atlantis *sob*,</div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n_1gdpmN3zs/V1_aW0QXH3I/AAAAAAAABqE/S2GNWhZulrAIkwfGdNxPvva8Du4b2MVSwCLcB/s1600/20151205_093304.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n_1gdpmN3zs/V1_aW0QXH3I/AAAAAAAABqE/S2GNWhZulrAIkwfGdNxPvva8Du4b2MVSwCLcB/s320/20151205_093304.jpg" width="180" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">bedroom all shipshape</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
So, the decision was made. Mum an dad had agreed. It was time to sell our beloved Atlantis. They were heartbroken.<br />
<br />
The mill and the marina manager were ringing and emailing every week, putting pressure on mum and dad to move her. Move her where?! There was nowhere to go. So mum put Atlantis up for sale on a boat website. They knew it was unlikely someone would av the vision an ability to finish er but it was either that or they was gonna av er scrapped!<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tUJ5V3SVARs/V1_aXntAawI/AAAAAAAABqc/K68wMqQ-Ie81O3dPbyjSrF0bCwzZXpuygCLcB/s1600/20151205_100857.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tUJ5V3SVARs/V1_aXntAawI/AAAAAAAABqc/K68wMqQ-Ie81O3dPbyjSrF0bCwzZXpuygCLcB/s320/20151205_100857.jpg" width="180" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">spray foamer</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
They dun a bit of tidying up in case anyone come round to look and removed some of the tools and equipment like the spray foaming machine. Mum even washed the duvet!<br />
<br />
Mum got a call a few weeks later from someone wot was intrested in buyin er. I won’t tell you wot the asking price was, but let’s jus say it was a knock down once only price. Well this man an is wife came to look at Atlantis.<br />
<br />
The came about 4 times in all I fink. Dad was there to talk through his vision for Atlantis and even offered to elp advise and guide his contractors (he wasn’t gonna do it imself). Looked like it was gonna appen.<br />
<br />
Dad did some work on the engine to make sure she would run ok and be able to leave the mill. Then, the man sended an email, an email mind you saying he fort it was too much to take on and was gonna start his own hog roast business instead! A what now? Pftttt weirdo! <br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-voPQ9sHJ9Pk/V1_aWx9O1PI/AAAAAAAABqI/pW08zxqzJmgHyZZZvKujZAPfkhJ7B_vYgCLcB/s1600/20151205_094308.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-voPQ9sHJ9Pk/V1_aWx9O1PI/AAAAAAAABqI/pW08zxqzJmgHyZZZvKujZAPfkhJ7B_vYgCLcB/s320/20151205_094308.jpg" width="180" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">tidy (sort of) engine room</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Then annuva man says he wants er. So he comes to see her. Well, first fing he says? You wanna put some paint on that! Ha really? What a great idea, we never fort of that.<br />
<br />
Then, whilst surveying the river through the awesome wheelhouse wot dad built, he says ‘what you wanna do is cut off the front of this wheelhouse and put some patio doors in and then she’d make a lovely houseboat’.<br />
<br />
Lucky, dad wasn’t there. Coz if he had been, I fink he would have made the bloke walk the plank (if we ad one). Mum says I don’t think this boat will ever be a houseboat. Thanks and goodbye.<br />
<br />
Mum rings dad. Come to the boat she says to im. So off we goes to Atlantis and meets mum there. Mum was crying. She says ‘I can’t do this. She doesn’t want us to let her go. We have unfinished business and it’s time we finished it’.<br />
<br />
Dad says ‘ok, well, find me a mooring and I will do it’. Mum telled me later she felt so appy inside, knowin we was gonna get this fing done an we weren’t gonna sell her.<br />
<br />
Now all she needed to dus was find annuva mooring! I'll tell you next week if we dun it .. but I fink you already know the answer to that one :).<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Atlantis in Maldon</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Well ello me pals and my oh my ain’t it bin a while!? Well, yes achewly it as. First, I will give you a potted histry of wot we bin doin over the last few years.<br />
<br />
As some of you knows, we has got a boat, hmmm, a ship I mean. We as got a ship. She is called Atlantis. Mum and dad bought her way back in 2003 when she was a fishing boat in Ireland. You can read about all that on some of me old posts.<br />
<br />
Anyhoo, in 2010 we moved her from Kent to good old Essex where we was gonna make her all bright an shiny, then sail off to Malta! That didn’t work out too good. The marina manager (boo hiss grrrr) weren’t it turned out, a man of his word. So, we gets to Essex an he tells us no, you can’t live on it, no you can’t weld, no you can’t paint, you can’t do noffink. In fact, he says, I don’t even want you ere. So for the next 5 years he moved us from this mooring to that, each one worse than the last. We finally ends up on a mooring next to a flour mill.<br />
<br />
We was forbidden by the marina manager (boo hiss grrr) and the Mill elf an safety manager (quite nice man really) to set foot on her apart from to check her ropes and make sure she wasn’t sinkin!<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ku83s8Z9fdg/V1aoQZU9o1I/AAAAAAAABpw/EQi9bRvMY7Es3uGPADfvvP9QnkrTP944gCLcB/s1600/20151211_125034.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ku83s8Z9fdg/V1aoQZU9o1I/AAAAAAAABpw/EQi9bRvMY7Es3uGPADfvvP9QnkrTP944gCLcB/s320/20151211_125034.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Atlantis view from port side</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
We was at our wits end abowt wot to dus. They coddn’t see how we was gonna ever finish Atlantis or even get on board [we went to Ibeefa to run a dive centre but that’s annuva story wot I tell you laters]. While dad and me was working hard in Ibeefa mum tried to sort fings out once and for all.<br />
<br />
She did the only fing that made sense (at the time) – to sell Atlantis! Mum an dad had fort about it long and hard and could not see any uvva alternative. Their dream had come to an end.<br />

<br />
Fing is, even tho I dus love to swim (as you may or may not know teehee) I was too scared to swim in the pool because I has to have a way in and a way out. <br />
So, mum opened up her wallet (moths were flying everywhere BOL BOL) and buyed it for me! Took ages to come. It came all the way from Americy. That wasn't the hard bit coz it achewlly arrived wivin 5 days. The big problembo was the customs! Took em free weeks to sort it out. Doesn't matter, coz its ere now. <br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I fort you might like to see a bit of video of me using it wot dad done. You will see mum in da background floatin around as lifeguard on standby in case of incidents ;)). Fink she needs some elocushun lessons - she gets more Essex every day pffffftttttt. Just a short swim first:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dywobzQU3z2jHZzhvaUhD8AeeRwDGMGm3Mjat8L3mXBK5NtptK42UnKz3O4GcCD8IwX3uAlsj8_DP8ghMFqbQ' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>

<br />
<br />
The best fing about it is that if, for some reason, I fall in the pool (unlikely) and they ain't there, I can scamper up ma ramp quick as a flash and be all safe an that.<br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello pals. Well we have moved again! Atlantis is now moored it what we hope will be her home for the next year at least. The funny fing about it is it is where we started off in 2010! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here we are heading off up the river to our new home, under our own steam I might add! This is view from the port side (the left). If you wants to remember that port is left, we use a little phrase - no port left (as in the drink). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w2BNCd_kU6Q/UUYsVcsMaYI/AAAAAAAABO4/t2j5Bl0UExU/s1600/P1030404.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w2BNCd_kU6Q/UUYsVcsMaYI/AAAAAAAABO4/t2j5Bl0UExU/s320/P1030404.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's the view from the starboard side. Not much in it I guess!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BW3-th9Mc8A/UUYsV7RYCZI/AAAAAAAABPE/Vr91krz4eT8/s1600/P1030406.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BW3-th9Mc8A/UUYsV7RYCZI/AAAAAAAABPE/Vr91krz4eT8/s320/P1030406.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />Here's our little tender following along behind.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-u_CP-JPZzYM/UUYsWLLwQ2I/AAAAAAAABPI/95cUhSaQkgY/s1600/P1030408.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-u_CP-JPZzYM/UUYsWLLwQ2I/AAAAAAAABPI/95cUhSaQkgY/s320/P1030408.JPG" width="320" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's some pals helping us more up in our new exciting surrounds. The view is not great, but at least we know we can do all the noisy messy work and no-one will complain. We also are able to get on and off when we like and don't need the tender any more. Bet we can get a few quid for that!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TW7J1iq2mpE/UUYsWeb9JyI/AAAAAAAABPQ/zVVG_FwQx1s/s1600/P1030409.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TW7J1iq2mpE/UUYsWeb9JyI/AAAAAAAABPQ/zVVG_FwQx1s/s320/P1030409.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Dad moves her into her new spot, nice and slow. You can't see it but mum is waiting wiv fenders (in this case some classy large tyres) to fend off from the wall. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cRSfy7G6Iiw/UUYsWzY6WsI/AAAAAAAABPc/OFRdQba2NwU/s1600/P1030412.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cRSfy7G6Iiw/UUYsWzY6WsI/AAAAAAAABPc/OFRdQba2NwU/s320/P1030412.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />A neighbour in the dock over the way. A Loyal Class Fleet Tender having some work done.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7imC_xzua8E/UUYsXEu13xI/AAAAAAAABPk/AxS5gflmZJA/s1600/P1030414.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7imC_xzua8E/UUYsXEu13xI/AAAAAAAABPk/AxS5gflmZJA/s320/P1030414.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />A view from astern. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HQQ37HbKmrQ/UUYsXsiq_pI/AAAAAAAABPs/b4y0FBuNi14/s1600/P1030417.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HQQ37HbKmrQ/UUYsXsiq_pI/AAAAAAAABPs/b4y0FBuNi14/s320/P1030417.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />Our new gangway across to land. I'm summoning up the courage to go first.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ybhV_pcLZAY/UUYsYe5iUUI/AAAAAAAABP8/gcBDOQACqy4/s1600/P1030428.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ybhV_pcLZAY/UUYsYe5iUUI/AAAAAAAABP8/gcBDOQACqy4/s320/P1030428.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Nope! Decided to send mum over first so I could make sure it would hold me weight ;). Seems ok.<br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6JLb_XYBobw/UUYsYfvYwpI/AAAAAAAABQA/xdL_7A5Dixc/s1600/P1030429.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6JLb_XYBobw/UUYsYfvYwpI/AAAAAAAABQA/xdL_7A5Dixc/s320/P1030429.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here she is safely moored up in her new home. We have shut up shop for the winter and waiting for Spring. Dad will then finish off the wheelhouse inside and out (think I've said that before) and there is talk of a new galley and bathroom for 2013.<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-liEBUrE0bto/UUYsVdQjZUI/AAAAAAAABOw/AMDJ5TtRHf8/s1600/IMG_0336.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-liEBUrE0bto/UUYsVdQjZUI/AAAAAAAABOw/AMDJ5TtRHf8/s320/IMG_0336.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Well it's been slow progress for the last few years as you can tell but 2013 looks to be fun. Not least of all because dad has another <strike>slave</strike> helper in the form of his son!<br />
<br />
Thi has been Lexie, signing off for now.<br />
<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We didn't get as much done on our lady as we ad oped, mainly because of her still bein stuck in the middle of the river! Well, all that has changed now and we has a new moorin up-river where we can get on and off wifout too much trubble now.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Mum an dad decided not much to be done so we spent most time on board gettin the engine in tip top shape for the move and sprucin her up a bit wif some paint! Here's a pic of the starboard main deck wiv a nice coat of erm ... well .. battleship grey! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Because it's a challenge to get on and off Atlantis, we were spending weekends on board. This mum's little stock cupboard (coz we ain't got no galley - aka kitchen - yet) but that is on da list for 2013! Mum very excited about that! Ahhh bless, look at her little cupboard heehee.</div>

Mum say the nearer we get to the end, the harder it seems to get.<br />
<br />
Because dad is such an accommodatin man when the landlord asked if we'd move our boat again so they could do work on another boat that would only fit in our mooring, he said ok.<br />
<br />
So Atlantis was moved across the river to our old mooring. This meant we had to use a little boat to get to her each time. An we could only go when the tides was right! Oh what a palaver! Very nice on a warm, sunny day but not so nice in the rain and wind!<br />
<br />
Dad prefers the gondola approach to rowing - must be his mediterranean blood! heehee<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a161WYXdVa0/UNczuZH_-lI/AAAAAAAABFo/V3dW3v5e-dg/s1600/IMG_0121.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a161WYXdVa0/UNczuZH_-lI/AAAAAAAABFo/V3dW3v5e-dg/s320/IMG_0121.jpg" width="247" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
She can look a long way away when you are waiting for the tide to come in. We would tend to leave as soon as we could so we could have maximum time aboard!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I could always av a cool-off on da way over and swim to Atlantis. All part of ma olympic training you see?</div>

Next time ... mooring disasters! Fanx for poppin in.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09276670760792080050noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556040605981107233.post-57829638867572651212012-05-28T20:14:00.002+01:002012-05-28T20:14:41.980+01:00I fink it's time Captain Dad - part 30<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Well ... is gettin to the point where I is almost back where I started wiv dis bloggy. Mum an dad workin hard to prepare Atlantis for our journey from Kent to Essex to our new mooring.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zYSg7Eeeu_w/T7FeOXBoNZI/AAAAAAAAA6c/1C0oPcfsClg/s1600/P1010336.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zYSg7Eeeu_w/T7FeOXBoNZI/AAAAAAAAA6c/1C0oPcfsClg/s320/P1010336.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
<br />
Mum mainly tidied up the wheelhouse while dad installs all the gear we will need for the journey. The windows are nearly all in place now (temporary ones that is) and we have lighting. Mum is sweeping up tons of rusty bits of steel and generally clearing away trip hazards. I am over-seein proceedings and keeping a ware eye on that broom too!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HkHG7C8ow1Y/T7FePTkSFYI/AAAAAAAAA6k/BuhverWXcoI/s1600/P1010337.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HkHG7C8ow1Y/T7FePTkSFYI/AAAAAAAAA6k/BuhverWXcoI/s320/P1010337.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
Just a little more welding to be done on the front of the wheelhouse and then the two final windows can be installed. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W2yW_AGwPh4/T7FeQSyuGGI/AAAAAAAAA6o/PhxL2Kho1M4/s1600/P1010344.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W2yW_AGwPh4/T7FeQSyuGGI/AAAAAAAAA6o/PhxL2Kho1M4/s320/P1010344.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
<br />
She’s looking good eh? Well as good as she can for the trip anyway.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xZGAWe0AlD0/T7FeRVHozYI/AAAAAAAAA6w/ebDoO6eqmQ8/s1600/P1010345.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xZGAWe0AlD0/T7FeRVHozYI/AAAAAAAAA6w/ebDoO6eqmQ8/s320/P1010345.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
Here’s dad just measuring up to put in that last big steel beam to ensure the wheelhouse is fully supported and there’s no danger of the roof crashing down on us. Not that it would. Dad has welded and welded and put in support beams everywhere! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-F-FWY2XLoCo/T7FeTTibVaI/AAAAAAAAA7A/wcpIb2bM3Zk/s1600/P1010349.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-F-FWY2XLoCo/T7FeTTibVaI/AAAAAAAAA7A/wcpIb2bM3Zk/s320/P1010349.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
<br />
Course, there were a few fings we didn’t av time for. Like a staircase! Pffttttt. So, it’s still the ladder for us. I tried givin my evils and fort I might levitate up there but it was not to be ;). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nMc80Jh9nWA/T7FeUi24H0I/AAAAAAAAA7I/b-DntLh5F_w/s1600/P1010350.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nMc80Jh9nWA/T7FeUi24H0I/AAAAAAAAA7I/b-DntLh5F_w/s320/P1010350.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
Even when I tried to plant the seed that I might go a bit Lizzy Borden wiv ma axe heehee.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hZv2_LvJU9U/T7FeVk20hnI/AAAAAAAAA7U/dQv4z-QKSAc/s1600/P1010353.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hZv2_LvJU9U/T7FeVk20hnI/AAAAAAAAA7U/dQv4z-QKSAc/s320/P1010353.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
I decided to call it a day maself; they were still workin late into the night. So I curled up on the sofa an mum wrapped me up in ma blanket but it was darned cold up there.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DyW8_OPpmfc/T7FeW5q52qI/AAAAAAAAA7Y/TZgLu7gHoT0/s1600/P1010354.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DyW8_OPpmfc/T7FeW5q52qI/AAAAAAAAA7Y/TZgLu7gHoT0/s320/P1010354.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
There was noffink for it but to retreat to the bedroom where there was a little heater an av a chew! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IaWrmgOjoCY/T7FeX95MPsI/AAAAAAAAA7k/2Zjo3E5FeLs/s1600/P1010356.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IaWrmgOjoCY/T7FeX95MPsI/AAAAAAAAA7k/2Zjo3E5FeLs/s320/P1010356.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next day we set sail- just like that! Here’s dad taking us out of the Medway. Can you believe tiny fing he’s got his hand on steers the boat! No wheel or noffink!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="247px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-r6jUfsSCSAU/T7FeNczUmKI/AAAAAAAAA6U/bYllEhx138c/s320/IMGA0005_2.JPG" width="320px" /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Pals, <a href="http://dogstoyevsky.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/avast-ye-landlubbers-shiver-me-timbers.html">if you want to read bowt our trip up to Essex, you can see it on dis post from ages ago</a>. So, we are nearly caught up now. Ma next post will show you Atlantis as she is now. Ok, I gots to manage expectashuns ere so don't expect too much! We had a lot of problems (and are still having them) with our moorings so dad hasn't been able to do as much work as he hoped.<br />
<br />
See you next time pals!</div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09276670760792080050noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556040605981107233.post-52253552148555116842012-04-06T15:36:00.000+01:002012-04-06T15:36:08.202+01:00You have the bridge number one - part 29Now .... I like to make sure fings are proceedin appropriately so this bloggy is about me keepin ma beady eye on the dad. He's got a deadline to meet to make the wheelhouse (aka the bridge) as sea-worthy as possible for our trip to Essex (yes I am still bloggin about the past, which is really weird). <br />
<br />
As you can see, I like to stand on our gangway fingamabob (wot dus av chicken wire for safety purposes for da mum). Chicken wire very andy for me coz I can do zoomies across fast when I decides I want to chase a rat. Apparently, I needs to practise ma tecnique a bit coz barkin at rats gives em a bit of a heads up you is after em!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jdh5PZ0FQJg/T2ZKiXK8CKI/AAAAAAAAA4g/A-8iadecH7I/s1600/P1010307.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jdh5PZ0FQJg/T2ZKiXK8CKI/AAAAAAAAA4g/A-8iadecH7I/s320/P1010307.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div>I can also nip up to the bow - well sort if nip up if you exclude the fact that mum has to carry me up a ladder heehee - and av a look at the marina next door oh and err .... erm .... check the ropes for dad ;).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gyWxYKQRMdE/T2ZKkahiu0I/AAAAAAAAA4o/YGCjV_TNa88/s1600/P1010308.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gyWxYKQRMdE/T2ZKkahiu0I/AAAAAAAAA4o/YGCjV_TNa88/s320/P1010308.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><br />
Dis show wot appen when you dussnt read your tide tables an set off in good time! The boat on the right just missed making it into the marina and ended up on the mud until the next tide! Got a bit of a lean on init? heehee.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_QSbGLTm7Ek/T2ZKm2oXKTI/AAAAAAAAA4w/pGMUK32ERko/s1600/P1010309.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_QSbGLTm7Ek/T2ZKm2oXKTI/AAAAAAAAA4w/pGMUK32ERko/s320/P1010309.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Time to check the anchor chain. All lookin ok and now the anchors are in place an the chain is on the winch we can forget about that until we is out at sea! A job well done for dad!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j0oHS172hDs/T2ZKpsTudCI/AAAAAAAAA44/ECAhx6StMJo/s1600/P1010313.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j0oHS172hDs/T2ZKpsTudCI/AAAAAAAAA44/ECAhx6StMJo/s320/P1010313.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><br />

</div>Ooops! Fink someone (not sayin it was mum, nope, not at all, not mum) might of measured and drawn this up wrong first time round! Good job dad always follows his own advice, measure, check, measure, check and cut! <br />

These be ones dad cut from perspex so we dussnt av to spent lots of money on da final ones as these will do for sailin to the new mooring so he can see fings! Always andy!<br />

We had been takin trips up there to check out the area (even tho they knows it well as they boaf lived there before Atlantis). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">We had a wander along the Blackwater River at Maldon so we could see exactly what it's like for when we bring her up. Looks pretty narrow dad says!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AV98XFPZ1QM/T0o-brKFhpI/AAAAAAAAA24/2n1CD3m6Cx8/s1600/IMG_0211.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AV98XFPZ1QM/T0o-brKFhpI/AAAAAAAAA24/2n1CD3m6Cx8/s320/IMG_0211.JPG" width="247" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So, it's back to Atlantis down in deepest darkest Kent for dad! Looking at the Blackwater has really motivated him tho and he starts working on the wheelhouse windows. Windows are always useful to be able to see where you're going ;). He's cut out a wooden template so he can use that to mark up the steel and cut the windows out.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L1MIQZXfAZ4/T0o-ehSJBmI/AAAAAAAAA3A/wtIpkwTh2lc/s1600/IMG_0264.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L1MIQZXfAZ4/T0o-ehSJBmI/AAAAAAAAA3A/wtIpkwTh2lc/s320/IMG_0264.JPG" width="247" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Here's dad marking up some more windows. He offers up da wooden templates and marks up, then cuts. Oh an err .. nice builders bum!! heehee. You can see the winch in front of im in dis photo. That's for the anchors obviously! </div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DC66WOJnszo/T0o-hMxA_gI/AAAAAAAAA3I/VBDBcfSzm98/s1600/IMG_0265.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DC66WOJnszo/T0o-hMxA_gI/AAAAAAAAA3I/VBDBcfSzm98/s320/IMG_0265.JPG" width="247" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Ere dus be me avin a look at mum who is avin a look at me. We is on the foredeck wiv dad, watchin im but he don't know!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-c8XUuLt7wKM/T0o-kO7W3HI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/M-P1CfZZ0X4/s1600/IMG_0267.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-c8XUuLt7wKM/T0o-kO7W3HI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/M-P1CfZZ0X4/s320/IMG_0267.JPG" width="247" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Our ramp! It go up and down with the tide. When the tide is in we rise up about 4-7m dependin on whether it's a spring or neep tide. I telled you bowt dat before! That pole on the right stop the ramp from breakin up as sometimes Atlantis moves back or forward especially if it's a high tide. The ramp has chicken wire on it for safety. I am sure you can guess who that's for!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F-NlGsWXvKE/T0o-o_qF-CI/AAAAAAAAA3Y/9_-TX-85EqY/s1600/P1000930.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F-NlGsWXvKE/T0o-o_qF-CI/AAAAAAAAA3Y/9_-TX-85EqY/s320/P1000930.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">As you probably know by now, dad likes nuffin betta than a bit of multi-taskin! Whilst preparing the new windows in the wheelhouse he also had to go into the bow and plate over some small bow windows we had originally intended to have. We'd decided against them in the end because they are so near the water line. Here he is cutting the frames out again so he can plate over the holes. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xlptC1Y-KVY/T0o-q8dbU1I/AAAAAAAAA3g/n01s2oY4R08/s1600/P1000931.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xlptC1Y-KVY/T0o-q8dbU1I/AAAAAAAAA3g/n01s2oY4R08/s320/P1000931.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">We see you!! If left open (there is one on the starboard side too) these small windows could cause Atlantis to sink. They is fine if you are moored in a marina and have no intenshun of every going out into the high seas. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">In the end, we decided we'd either put sealed ones in or put deck portholes in for extra light. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-o_aMr-APdI4/T0o-thCLF_I/AAAAAAAAA3o/6AM5_PYHylc/s1600/P1000932.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-o_aMr-APdI4/T0o-thCLF_I/AAAAAAAAA3o/6AM5_PYHylc/s320/P1000932.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Dad avin well-earned coffee and break in our luxury saloon (one day). Those sofas are so comfy tho even tho we rescood em from a skip. Our built in sofa is that wooden stuff behind me in this photo.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xV5Kf3uVV4g/T0o-xNTRVrI/AAAAAAAAA3w/5ChluP0-K_A/s1600/P1010025.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xV5Kf3uVV4g/T0o-xNTRVrI/AAAAAAAAA3w/5ChluP0-K_A/s320/P1010025.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Mum has been tasked wiv tidyin up the walkways so that we have easy access to ropes and fenders when we is sailing. I fink she dun quite a good job on the port side. Funny she ain't taken a photo of the starboard ;)). </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hT-ZfRAqrKw/T0o-zUjaU9I/AAAAAAAAA34/tLqhPCR4JK4/s1600/P1010027.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hT-ZfRAqrKw/T0o-zUjaU9I/AAAAAAAAA34/tLqhPCR4JK4/s320/P1010027.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This photo shows a good profile shot. You can see how much she rises up on a good tide. You can also see the wheelhouse windows in this pic. She's also showing a great shape now that she's got her skirts on around the wheelhouse.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5GCw-xbotSk/T0o-2J5RSYI/AAAAAAAAA4A/8k4tf76JvrQ/s1600/P1010028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5GCw-xbotSk/T0o-2J5RSYI/AAAAAAAAA4A/8k4tf76JvrQ/s320/P1010028.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Let's see what's frew da ............. square window!! We gonna put temporary windows I'm glad to report!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

I love mud .. there job done!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jJolEPPaLNA/TyGN_SikrhI/AAAAAAAAA1g/D9losb6s8g0/s1600/IMG_0069.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320px" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jJolEPPaLNA/TyGN_SikrhI/AAAAAAAAA1g/D9losb6s8g0/s320/IMG_0069.JPG" width="247px" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So as you will remember from last time, we have the anchor in place, the chain in place. Dad bin doing a lot of work to ensure the engine is ready for firin up an the generators are good as we edge closer and closer to our journey to our new moorin. Course, one fing wot be vital for the engine to run properly dus be the exhaust. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Guess what? This don't work like a car exhaust as you probaly worked out ;). We had build a new exhaust because we had taken the old one out when we were building the galley area (which was the upper engine room). Dad had ordered a lot of large round steel pipe that he would weld togeva to go from the bottom of the boat right to the top! Here's the pipe goin frew da galley (well ... what will be the galley). This will all be insulated and boxed in when we startin the fittin out.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lXjzrguj8D0/TyGOAUrC0gI/AAAAAAAAA1o/ybuJ0cy_iDs/s1600/P1000864.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lXjzrguj8D0/TyGOAUrC0gI/AAAAAAAAA1o/ybuJ0cy_iDs/s320/P1000864.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Here's one of dad's most trusty tools - his mig welder! What's a Mig welder? Well is a weldin machine wot welds Mig of course pftttt ;). No but seriously tho but ...... there be free (as in da number) main types of weldin . Mig, tig and Stick. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sw94t_bTJlE/TyGOBc7WhKI/AAAAAAAAA1w/uFFaBkg2m_I/s1600/P1000865.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sw94t_bTJlE/TyGOBc7WhKI/AAAAAAAAA1w/uFFaBkg2m_I/s320/P1000865.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Tig welding dus be for light steel an fings like stainless alloys, aluminum, titanium an copper. We dussnt do much of dat yet but we will when we doin the handrails.</div>Mig welding is for big steel and uses a reel of weld . prefect for fabricatin fings.<br />
<br />
Stick is great for small welds, outside weldin, hard to reach places and for when you dus need to be portable<br />
Dad has run the weld around the pipe at the bottom as you can see in this photo. That so he can put supports in to stop it moving about an of course join the pipes togeva coz it ain't one long pipe you know.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-k3HCzlxH_rU/TyGOCA4t4II/AAAAAAAAA14/hGEZrTgyP_g/s1600/P1000866.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-k3HCzlxH_rU/TyGOCA4t4II/AAAAAAAAA14/hGEZrTgyP_g/s320/P1000866.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Dad had already cut the holes before we put the pipe in place an they were all correctly lined up (mum was involved but not doin any measurin ;). Look at that seam weld!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2a7doCYc278/TyGODTRkHJI/AAAAAAAAA2A/hWVCbR2UIeI/s1600/P1000867.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2a7doCYc278/TyGODTRkHJI/AAAAAAAAA2A/hWVCbR2UIeI/s320/P1000867.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I was called in to quality check. Dad reckoned we would definitely av tos moor up overnight somewhere. Wifout chain and anchors we would drift and end up who knows where, so anchor and chain installation began.<br />
<br />
In the last post, dad had built the chain locker and mum an dad started working on getting all the chain into the bow and the lockers. They used the crane to lift the chain and then lower it into the bow. <br />
<br />
Dad put rope on the final chain so it could be lifted up later and taken through the winch. Here's the chain in the locker:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ll1bNl1ScLI/TwCiTjonECI/AAAAAAAAAwA/9FGdny_bjA8/s1600/P1000797.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ll1bNl1ScLI/TwCiTjonECI/AAAAAAAAAwA/9FGdny_bjA8/s320/P1000797.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div align="left">As I mentioned in the last post, dad built the chain lockers out of some old steel and scaffoldin we ad knockin about. Dat is recyclin at its best! heehee. We gots to paint the chain locker once all da works is complete and it will be spray-foamed too when the time comes. We will do that in the future when we don't need to worry about moorin and can remove the anchors for a while. Here's a better view of the locker:</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OlVpcjutEsI/TwCiW0AY19I/AAAAAAAAAwQ/ZigCELda8Fw/s1600/P1000803.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OlVpcjutEsI/TwCiW0AY19I/AAAAAAAAAwQ/ZigCELda8Fw/s320/P1000803.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div align="left"><br />
</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">As you can see there are two lockers wiv chain in. Hmmmm - I wonder if you can guess why? Hahaaaa that's right! Coz there are two anchors, so two chains, two lockers! </div><br />
Here's a pic of Atlantis's bow before work starts on the cutting work for the anchors on a misty cold morning:<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Testing that the chain fits frew the hole well:</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0kQSBHxs1xY/TwCic8520mI/AAAAAAAAAww/vOSnmwgPehc/s1600/P1000812.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0kQSBHxs1xY/TwCic8520mI/AAAAAAAAAww/vOSnmwgPehc/s320/P1000812.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div align="left"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Testing the chain wiv the first anchor. Don't even ask how we got that there! Ok - you can ask! Well we magically shrunk it and pushed it frew da hole! No? Ok, we used the crane to lower the anchor. Using the crane to hold the anchor in place, we then used a shackle to attach the anchor to the chain and released. Hey presto! One anchor thank you very much!</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YONIkUzx7JE/TwCieT2ZhGI/AAAAAAAAAw4/qAYl8d62n7M/s1600/P1000814.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YONIkUzx7JE/TwCieT2ZhGI/AAAAAAAAAw4/qAYl8d62n7M/s320/P1000814.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div align="left"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Here's the chain inside the chain locker, As you can see it fits through the hole well. The hole had to be just right - too big and there's a risk of too much water coming into the bow, risking a flood. Too small and the chain wouldn't release, so no anchor.</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5328muRj0po/TwCigKWFguI/AAAAAAAAAxA/I1kP-tujvFw/s1600/P1000818.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5328muRj0po/TwCigKWFguI/AAAAAAAAAxA/I1kP-tujvFw/s320/P1000818.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div align="left"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Here's the view from above. The angle had to be jut right. Which, of course, it was! Clever </div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yCOHoTEFKrA/TwCihwDJ50I/AAAAAAAAAxI/aP9MmnGsi5w/s1600/P1000819.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yCOHoTEFKrA/TwCihwDJ50I/AAAAAAAAAxI/aP9MmnGsi5w/s320/P1000819.JPG" width="320px" /></a></div><div align="left"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Ok, so, hole cut, chain through, anchor attached. What next? He then welded in steel tubes (fabricated by im) so that the anchor has it's housing to sit in.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Then .... testing of course! Here's a video showing how well everyfin worked:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This photo shows the anchor in it's final resting place once the anchor is fully raised:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Right pay attenshun! Here dus be geeky bit. The anchors weigh 350kgs each! Each section of chain is connected by shackles. The chain section between the shackles is called the "shot" and usually measures 90ft. So, we has 9 shots on board .. meanin we as 810ft of chain! And we had to hammer all the rust of each link "by hand" and checked every single link! I say we, of course, I mean mum an dad! I can't ... no thumb you see?</div><div style="text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="247px" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hLpnhPQRv_A/TwCiVW2Bl7I/AAAAAAAAAwI/NaShpUFao7U/s320/P1000798.JPG" width="320px" /><br />
<br />
Well dat is for now, see you again soon. Hope you enjoyed dis update.</div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09276670760792080050noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556040605981107233.post-64623701998367531992011-12-24T21:37:00.004+00:002011-12-24T21:49:38.944+00:00Chain, chain, chain!!!! - part 25<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello!! Last time I was tellin you bowt how we decided to move to a new mooring. Well before that cud appen dad had to sort out some chain and anchors in case we had to stop any time during the trip! As you may remembers, Atlantis never had no chain or anchor, mainly coz when she was a fishing vessel she used her fishing gear and nets when she stopped. Well that and she probably never stopped much!</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Mum and dad had already stripped out the galley so that dad could get to the front wall. This would get him access to the bow which is where the first step wud appen. Installation of the chain locker! There is a lot of chain to be stored! This the wall wot will be cut away.</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XjDKje9fAZ8/TvXoR2wntOI/AAAAAAAAAts/w7fuYTLqyl0/s1600/P1000757.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XjDKje9fAZ8/TvXoR2wntOI/AAAAAAAAAts/w7fuYTLqyl0/s320/P1000757.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next dad cut two holes in the roof of the bow which where the two chains would come down from the bow. He wud also cut holes in the bow but that wud come later coz he had to work out the right angle for the chain. Ere dus be the first hole:</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-swlfshjk5FQ/TvXoL5vP_oI/AAAAAAAAAtE/2LBTwj98mEw/s1600/P1000763.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-swlfshjk5FQ/TvXoL5vP_oI/AAAAAAAAAtE/2LBTwj98mEw/s320/P1000763.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Ere's the uvva hole! One for each chain. we have put some chain frew to make sure it fits and can slide in an out wivout too much trubble. That chain dus be heavy and mum an dad had to knock all the rust off wit hammers first! Talk about popeye-arms and that's just mum! heehee.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #0000ee;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JrNfd_OBd14/TvXoNiMgsYI/AAAAAAAAAtM/btDjdXkzhWg/s1600/P1000762.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JrNfd_OBd14/TvXoNiMgsYI/AAAAAAAAAtM/btDjdXkzhWg/s320/P1000762.JPG" width="320" /></a></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fjVD3NJ0yAU/TvXoQhSRCSI/AAAAAAAAAtk/bslTEuynhfg/s1600/P1000759.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />

He dus be using steel from the walls that he had already taken down from the galley! Good recycling eh? Here's the first of the walls on the right. He also used some old scaffoldin we had holdin up the bow roof (no longer needed I hasten to add) to make the frame for the locker.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">He starts welding up plate into any areas where there are holes. This locker has got to be strong and well built to keep the chain in its place. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cZK_l-UCo_I/TvXlI7TRq1I/AAAAAAAAAsQ/084fJQcSKyw/s1600/P1000779.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fjVD3NJ0yAU/TvXoQhSRCSI/AAAAAAAAAtk/bslTEuynhfg/s1600/P1000759.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
</a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fjVD3NJ0yAU/TvXoQhSRCSI/AAAAAAAAAtk/bslTEuynhfg/s1600/P1000759.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Here are some further walls added. The holes are above so the chain will come into the locker when the winch operates (ooohh!!) - all electronically of course ;).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CtPtNkr0PNs/TvXlHezMfuI/AAAAAAAAAsI/uP60VzaqVeU/s1600/P1000780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CtPtNkr0PNs/TvXlHezMfuI/AAAAAAAAAsI/uP60VzaqVeU/s320/P1000780.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Now, we dus go all well posh and dun a video! Ere's dad dussin some weldin (warning: contains bald head and some flashin stuff).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Dad plated over an old out-of-use hatch too. He as asked me to point out his very neat welding! Ok dad - here is some very neat welding please take note:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CwExtZJG_IA/TvXoIVWqsrI/AAAAAAAAAsw/ziv4tPG6Qrs/s1600/P1000771.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CwExtZJG_IA/TvXoIVWqsrI/AAAAAAAAAsw/ziv4tPG6Qrs/s320/P1000771.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I have decided to pay a visit and inspect proceedins as is my right as ship's dog! And, coz I bin such a good doggie and dad was gettin a bit stir crazy in his little locker, a trip to Old Felixstowe for some fun on the beach!<br />
<br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DJ95rPNkIl8/TvXolBG0sOI/AAAAAAAAAuI/yCV7tjpuCJk/s1600/P1000726.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DJ95rPNkIl8/TvXolBG0sOI/AAAAAAAAAuI/yCV7tjpuCJk/s320/P1000726.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Next time, more chain, more holes and ..... anchors!!! hurray!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09276670760792080050noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556040605981107233.post-61637841547702801082011-11-12T17:53:00.000+00:002011-11-12T17:53:52.094+00:00Didn't there used to be a kitchen ere? - part 24Well hello again ma pals! Ow fings? Last time I was ere I dun telled you about ow we did av to get some anchors in so we cud sail Atlantis and err ... well ... stop if we needed to! Before any of dat cud appen, mum and dad had to strip out da galley so dad cud get access to the f'o'c'sle (the what!??) heehee. Well in da olden days it was called da forecastle but is pronounced folksal. Bet you landlubbers didn't know dat eh?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DEmM4PzIugE/Tqw5qqzpT1I/AAAAAAAAAoM/OMG2S_TO-14/s320/P1000589.JPG" width="320" /></div><div style="text-align: left;">As you can see from these pics mum and dad continued to strip back all da walls, kitchen cabinets and sink down to the frame and the rockwool (dat dus be fibreglass stuff wot you puts up for insulation - it is rubbish tho). When we did see what the insulation was in da galley, it explained why it was always so cold. Plus, da rockwool itself was soakin wet from all da condensation over the years. Yuk!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fvtlcEDv4Fk/Tqw5rhlx2rI/AAAAAAAAAoU/TimJGCs0_Uo/s1600/P1000590.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fvtlcEDv4Fk/Tqw5rhlx2rI/AAAAAAAAAoU/TimJGCs0_Uo/s320/P1000590.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
You can see the damp in this pic - see how the rockwool was stuck to the steel walls! Scraper time! I wonder who got that job? heehee - mum of course! I wasn't allowed in the room much. You can see from the pics that there was loads of fibre glass dust flyin around the room. Mum and dad were coughin a lot, eve tho they was wearin masks.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

Is me Lexie. Ow fings? Fanx to da magic of the interwebnet and clever use of the time space continuum we is still in 2009. Big event for mum that year was goin wiv er very great friend Jaclyn to a AC/DC concert at the O2. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Wot is the O2 Lexie I hear you ask. Well apparently it was a white elephant wot cost da taxpayer loads of money. But then it became a concert venue and is great! I av no idea wot all dat means but it makes hoomins very annoyed.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Anyway she was working in London in Waterloo at the time so decided to take the Catamaran Ferry to the concert. Ere dus be a photo of The Houses of Parliament:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RX04K0ZflV8/TphqcUhMyOI/AAAAAAAAAmk/opvsmSDwIpQ/s1600/DSC00682.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RX04K0ZflV8/TphqcUhMyOI/AAAAAAAAAmk/opvsmSDwIpQ/s320/DSC00682.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Ere dus be the London Eye. Wot is a very big wheel wot goes round wiv some lozenges on it wot you can go in. Mum as bin on dat too. Looks a bit scary to me.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OeoK-6HP0SI/TphqdLJj4HI/AAAAAAAAAms/l-GguZBVEqY/s1600/DSC00683.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OeoK-6HP0SI/TphqdLJj4HI/AAAAAAAAAms/l-GguZBVEqY/s320/DSC00683.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Ere is Tower Bridge wot dus be called a bascule bridge (comes from the French for see-saw) and was finished in 1894.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NKi75ErP2KI/TphqdxWTnAI/AAAAAAAAAm0/pQXULdWu2W8/s1600/DSC00699.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NKi75ErP2KI/TphqdxWTnAI/AAAAAAAAAm0/pQXULdWu2W8/s320/DSC00699.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">An ere dus be where mum went to see AC/DC in concert. Dis was second time she seen em live - first time was in 1979 when she was a headbanger heehee.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jG_NWvL91tk/TphqeUh7W3I/AAAAAAAAAm8/mu765R_nOz4/s1600/DSC00708.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jG_NWvL91tk/TphqeUh7W3I/AAAAAAAAAm8/mu765R_nOz4/s320/DSC00708.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Anyway ... movin on swiftly back to Atlantis. Mum and dad ad found a new mooring in Essex back where they used to live so it was time to focus on gettin Atlantis sea-worvy for da trip. Like most trawlers, Atlantis didn't av no anchors because the fishermen used the fishing gear itself as the anchors. Dad telled us that she had to av anchors for her trip to Essex because we cuddn't make it there in one tide. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">For that to appen we had to pull out the galley he announced. But why? We arks him. Well, he says, because I need to get frew da front wall of the galley to the bow to install the anchors and build the chain locker! Oh ... right .. yes well we knew that of course ;).</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Ere dus be a outside view of Atlantis wiv her new wheelhouse. You can see is really takin shape! For future reference, please note lack of anchors at the bow for the moment!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GHY9uwuk_DY/TphqfXyNb_I/AAAAAAAAAnE/xAeapx9JzWU/s1600/P1000407.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GHY9uwuk_DY/TphqfXyNb_I/AAAAAAAAAnE/xAeapx9JzWU/s320/P1000407.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">So, wifout furva ado, dad started rippin the galley out. Dussnt panic tho pals (remember galley is boaty-talk for kitchen) coz mum an dad did av plan up the sleeve of their tops for where we gonna eat and that. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Ere is da first bit of work dad did in the galley. He removed the old tables wot he cut out wiv the plasma cutter. You can see, was very smoky in there!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qK_v8nIxPFU/Tphqf9Sn2vI/AAAAAAAAAnM/uJR1SaK2ghk/s1600/P1000434.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qK_v8nIxPFU/Tphqf9Sn2vI/AAAAAAAAAnM/uJR1SaK2ghk/s320/P1000434.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The walls ad to come down too an as you can see ere there is a wooden frame between the wall and the outer hull. This pic shows the outer hull wot looks like it is covered in brown paper. That was insulation .... fibre glass only. Oh! No wonder it was so cold in winter ;).</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Xhs0VkTTarA/TphqgpLfVdI/AAAAAAAAAnU/U6VsZbOYSX0/s1600/P1000553.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Xhs0VkTTarA/TphqgpLfVdI/AAAAAAAAAnU/U6VsZbOYSX0/s320/P1000553.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Ere dus be dad workin at the front of the galley near the bow - he's cutting away all the wood ready to cut a big ole in the wall. On the left there is wot is left of the kitchen cabinets and sink.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NKFzajQtbmI/Tphqhq2N4HI/AAAAAAAAAnc/r0gUUn28vvw/s1600/P1000555.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NKFzajQtbmI/Tphqhq2N4HI/AAAAAAAAAnc/r0gUUn28vvw/s320/P1000555.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Mum started clearin out the room as dad was working to demolish. She found old Atlantis bags wot they used to store the scallops in! Ewww memories of the fish-hold came floodin back.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hJmgKhChokI/TphqiaUXLXI/AAAAAAAAAnk/Md-26Xa5Ppw/s1600/P1000558.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hJmgKhChokI/TphqiaUXLXI/AAAAAAAAAnk/Md-26Xa5Ppw/s320/P1000558.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">We burned all da wood on the shore (which we was allowed to do). There was a oooge bonfire wot lasted for days. Mum seemed to enjoy that a bit too much dad said. Nice side view of Atlantis here wiv her new roof takin shape too. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vLz1dgiMqkg/TphqjGVJe4I/AAAAAAAAAns/WbDkGy1uyKo/s1600/P1000565.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vLz1dgiMqkg/TphqjGVJe4I/AAAAAAAAAns/WbDkGy1uyKo/s320/P1000565.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Now I was sitting wiv mum on da shore wondrin ow we gonna eat! Wot we gonna do for a place for relaxin coz that was always the galley. Mum telled me not only has she got a new job in Essex but we dus all be moving into a house for a while *thud ... faints* What! What??!!! She said, dad is gonna commute to Atlantis and come ome weekends and we gonna stay in da howse and go down at weekends. Pfttttt ... speechless. An then she say, it has a garden where I can run around. Ere it dus be:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I like it! An i as a nice step wot I can sit on to look around at fings. I sees cats, squirrels and some geese. This place is great! We has beds, heating, rooms, a barf, some kitchen, carpets an lots of room. We can even switch loads of fings on at once an it doesn't trip the power. Cor!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: left;">Work continues on the galley removal an mum has the great job of removin all da fibreglass wot dus be very itchy if you gets it on your skin. I was banned from da room. Ere is some fibreglass:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6eqmS1lYcns/TphqmTzPGcI/AAAAAAAAAoE/cnRaRrdG68Q/s1600/P1000593.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6eqmS1lYcns/TphqmTzPGcI/AAAAAAAAAoE/cnRaRrdG68Q/s320/P1000593.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Well, more soon ma pals! Ta-ta!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09276670760792080050noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556040605981107233.post-85742695338210949062011-07-31T11:19:00.000+01:002011-07-31T11:19:44.961+01:00Dussnt fink it looks like a wheelhouse ..... yet - part 21Hello ma pals. Is me again. I am tellin you all about da new wheelhouse wot dad decided to build. We is still in 2009 by da way but the wevva is fast improvin meanin dad can spend more time on da wheelhouse. The frame is welded and ready for dad to start putting in the walls and roof. Ere dus be a pic of all da frames:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R3ISnQRL5mY/TinQFuCxf1I/AAAAAAAAAkQ/ieiPlDLccc8/s1600/P1000124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R3ISnQRL5mY/TinQFuCxf1I/AAAAAAAAAkQ/ieiPlDLccc8/s320/P1000124.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Dad welded all da frames in place and made sure everyfink was straight. He has to be very accurate wiv dus coz we dussnt want a wonky wheelhouse! First he dus put up a coupe of panels wot will be da roof and a large sheet wot becomes da back wall of wheelhouse. Dis will have door and annuva secure locker in it when is completed. Ohhh look it's blue skies too! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Dat is big sledge hammer wot he dus use to make sure the wall be straight wot you can see in da foreground. An also there on da left is red fing that does be hydraulic ram wot he use to push da metal in if it need moving a bit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8rM6OMM5fRY/TjUl1rgI7OI/AAAAAAAAAlY/1jaI0f8QRx4/s1600/P1000132.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8rM6OMM5fRY/TjUl1rgI7OI/AAAAAAAAAlY/1jaI0f8QRx4/s320/P1000132.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
These plates is only held in place wiv clamps so dad has to get welding fast! First he does tack weld. Dis very impawant fing to do as quick as possible so dat the plates is made safe. Also, it gives dad da chance to move any panels wot need movin before he welds more bigger welds. He uses a combination of da crane, da clamps, da ram an da sledge hammer, oh an of course mum! Ere he dus be wot will be the inside doin some tackin.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R1z_zfAEk8Y/TjUlzxbectI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/3r3YlV4KxbY/s1600/P1000130.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R1z_zfAEk8Y/TjUlzxbectI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/3r3YlV4KxbY/s320/P1000130.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
He gets up on da roof and dus some tacks up there too. You never knows, there might be a strong wind wot could pull the sheets off da roof and decapitate someone! Most likely dat wud be da mum wif her track record! Ere dus be dad on da roof preparin for some welding. He dussnt bovva wiv weldin jacket no more, he tells mum, his skin used to da burns pppfffftttttt!! Is dat mediterranean blood! He looks more like he gonna start up his chainsaw eeek!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_hG-q9ncJiU/TjUl4_VWJkI/AAAAAAAAAlo/tYoJYQBDGqk/s1600/P1000160.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_hG-q9ncJiU/TjUl4_VWJkI/AAAAAAAAAlo/tYoJYQBDGqk/s320/P1000160.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Dis photo dus show you view from wot will da front of wheelhouse. Course, that bit not on yet! heehee. Dad and mum boaf commented on how much bigger dis wheelhouse is compared to old one. Yesssss, well, dat is wot I fort ;).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CTGScGNIpSk/TjUlqY7CHAI/AAAAAAAAAlM/SVbpDh8KuhY/s1600/P1000129.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CTGScGNIpSk/TjUlqY7CHAI/AAAAAAAAAlM/SVbpDh8KuhY/s320/P1000129.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Dat all looks good so dad puts on da next sheets on da wot will become da overhang - a comfy area wiv shade for dose hot mediterranean days. Underneaf there will be some seatin and entrance to da wheelhouse. The old wheelhouse never had a door in it! You had to go down the stairs and out frew da galley so dad is appy to have a new door for easy access!<br />
<br />
There will still be stairs in wheelhouse down to the new galley but they will be proper stairs wot you can walk up and down wifout aving to go backwards. Dis also mean da Lexie (dat is me) can go up and down em wifout assistance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mmkbFm7cAUI/TjUl7YmGjlI/AAAAAAAAAl0/HlOY_DqoJTw/s1600/P1000168.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mmkbFm7cAUI/TjUl7YmGjlI/AAAAAAAAAl0/HlOY_DqoJTw/s320/P1000168.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The uvva fing wot I point out to you is da width of wheelhouse. Dis one much wider dan the old one but dad has made sure we still has enuffs room to walk around it. As you can see there be plenty of room. There will be handrails all around there (stainless) for safety (mum forbidden from goin down there surprise surprise). You can see the overhang at da front too which will add extra support for da front of wheelhouse which will be angled in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jvqUiWQiR1M/TjUl9I_y6lI/AAAAAAAAAl8/dS6ncAeu8pY/s1600/P1000172.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jvqUiWQiR1M/TjUl9I_y6lI/AAAAAAAAAl8/dS6ncAeu8pY/s320/P1000172.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Time for a quick check from ashore to see how she is takin shape. I fink you can see she is ..... errr .... well ok maybe not quite yet!!! You dus need vision (luckily that is somfink dad has in abundance). *whispers* looks like a box to us! But we dussnt say to dad ;).<br />

Today dus be very impawtant date for us. It is da anniversary of mum an dad buyin and steppin aboard Atlantis. Or as a pal on twitta said it’s Atlantis’s Gotcha Day. So to celebriate I fort I dus some highlights from our bloggy for ya! <br />
<br />
Yes pals, 8 years ago today mum an dad paid the shipbroker an stepped aboard Atlantis as owners for the first time. I wud like to say I did too but I wasn’t even born then! Pffttttt how inconsiderate of them not to wait for me ;). <br />
<br />
Here is a bootiful paintin of her as she wod of looked back then. She was originally registered on da Small Ships Register as MV Janettje in 1965 (she is younger dan mum but not dad hee-hee) in Holland where she was built. <br />

<br />
Anyhooooo, back to the Gotcha Day. It was a very hot day an mum an dad waited anxiously by the quayside in Gillingham, Kent waitin for the tide to come in. Atlantis was moored in the middle of the river and had been there overnight where she'd come straight from Kilmore Quay, Ireland across da Irish Sea an round Lundy Island! The crew brought her over in a Force 7 but she didn't find that too troublesome they said. They was more worried about their roast chicken flyin out of da oven! Here dus be ow she looked back den.<br />
<br />

But Lexie! I hear you cry. What made da mum an dad decide to do this venture? They had only been togeva bout 16 munfs and were still in da honeymoon period <em>(dad: what d'ya mean were? We still are!)</em> so they were all lovey dovey and finkin let's do somfink mad wiv our lives! You can read all about their romance (barf barf) if you dus wish on da <a href="http://dogstoyevsky.blogspot.com/2010/02/lifes-journey-is-twisty-turny-fing-part.html">Twisty Turny Fing</a> post wot tells you how they come to buy Atlantis.<br />
<br />
Mum an dad knew was a long road they were heading <em>(mum: what d'ya mean were? We still are!)</em> as they prepared themselfs for some orrible jobs ahead. Like *shudder* cleanin out da fishhold! You can read about that particular activity under da <a href="http://dogstoyevsky.blogspot.com/2010/03/if-smell-o-vision-was-real-you-would-be.html">Smell-o-Vision</a> post. Seein as dad was gonna shellfishly remove it they had to have a bedroom! So he built one (as you do) and they moved into it in September 2010. You can read about that in dis post wot dus be <a href="http://dogstoyevsky.blogspot.com/2010/09/down-wooden-hill-to-bedfordshire-at.html">Down The Wooden Hill to Bedfordshire</a>. Fanx for elping celbriate our anniversary. Mum an dad still has a lot of work to do but they can see the light at da end of the tunnel (is a tiny tiny spec i fink). Happy Gotcha Day Lady Atlantis!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09276670760792080050noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556040605981107233.post-91264158008552981592011-07-04T10:21:00.000+01:002011-07-04T10:21:29.819+01:00Bob errr I mean Dad the builder - part 19Hello ma pals. Ow fings? In ma last post I did forget to tell you dat we is now seeing what went on in 2009. Mainly buildin the new wheelhouse as you will see! Once da weather was gettin bit warmerer dad decide is time to build the new wheelhouse! We also heard some worrin rumours bout the marina where we woz moored and fort was time to get wheelhouse done or we wuddnt be able to move Atlantis if we needed to.<br />
<br />
First dad did work out ow much steel we needed to be able to build wheelhouse. Here be da first delivery from our pals wot dus av steel fabrication workshop nearby.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UXxVc0nEj4s/ThF9XdyEEgI/AAAAAAAAAjE/T72AUrnMouc/s1600/P1000108.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" i$="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UXxVc0nEj4s/ThF9XdyEEgI/AAAAAAAAAjE/T72AUrnMouc/s320/P1000108.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Dad also had a load of box steel delivered too that dus be a steel toob type fing wot dus be used to build the frame dat the steel gets welded to. Dese is da steel sheets close up wot will became da walls and roof of da wheelhouse. Dem wooden blocks is there so is easy to get da crane hook under da plate and lift em up - clever eh?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8_Ipee6hRX8/ThF97XwYdfI/AAAAAAAAAjI/LdmGfCdq02A/s1600/P1000103.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" i$="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8_Ipee6hRX8/ThF97XwYdfI/AAAAAAAAAjI/LdmGfCdq02A/s320/P1000103.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I won't bore you wiv more cranin pics there's been enuff of dem already! So, once everyfink safely craned on board, time to start building! First, dad dun lot of measuring and checkin and measure and checkin to work out where da back wall will go so he cud use dat as the reference point (hey I am gettin quite technical these days ;)). Here is the first frame up! Was horrible day as well, rainin and cold brrrrr.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qG9K7bgMvWs/ThGAY4eMoxI/AAAAAAAAAjM/TTZJtnVi0zc/s1600/P1000091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" i$="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qG9K7bgMvWs/ThGAY4eMoxI/AAAAAAAAAjM/TTZJtnVi0zc/s320/P1000091.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">In case you dos be wonderin wot dat chimney-lookin fing is ... is a chimney! hee-hee.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next fing was to get all the frame built all the way up to where the front of the wheelhouse wud evenshully be. There was lots of measurin goin on coz is impawtant to get the wheelhouse on straight. Wuddn't want a wonky one wod we? So da routine .... measure, build, weld .. next frame, measure, build, weld .. next frame and so on! You get da piccha!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_EjD7BMH60w/ThGB0ROnxNI/AAAAAAAAAjU/pEucy_Rvdi8/s1600/P1000101.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" i$="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_EjD7BMH60w/ThGB0ROnxNI/AAAAAAAAAjU/pEucy_Rvdi8/s320/P1000101.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Dis took dat bout a week to complete. Was still early in the year so quite damp and frosty. Even though we had lots of sunny days, dad wud have to wait until the frost was gone and the sun had dried out the roof enuff so he cud weld.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AOKUrWviTNc/ThGDt0lL_eI/AAAAAAAAAjY/fJtIfeelmUY/s1600/P1000115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" i$="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AOKUrWviTNc/ThGDt0lL_eI/AAAAAAAAAjY/fJtIfeelmUY/s320/P1000115.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">He was also weldin angle iron on da sides of where the uprights and crossbeams meet to add extra strengf and also keep the structure from bucklin. You can also see the angle he welded on about halfway up to make sure each upright was in line wiv da last. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">As you will of course recall, this mirrors exactly how he build the main deck structure too hee-hee dussnt worry pals, dis aint a test. If you dun wanted to see dat, you can go ere: <a href="http://dogstoyevsky.blogspot.com/2010/04/lexie-discovers-bbq-sausages-part-6.html">http://dogstoyevsky.blogspot.com/2010/04/lexie-discovers-bbq-sausages-part-6.html</a>.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rp-d2JPh4Rw/ThGFRzycdZI/AAAAAAAAAjc/4gdtiz-5VXQ/s1600/P1000111.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" i$="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rp-d2JPh4Rw/ThGFRzycdZI/AAAAAAAAAjc/4gdtiz-5VXQ/s320/P1000111.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Frame is comin along nicely I fink you dus agree!
